FOR LOVE OF LEXINGTON

From the village of Lexington to the vineyards of Sonoma Valley, Stacie has always felt both the power and the pull of ‘roots’. Her story is one of adventures, risks, traditions and unconventional journeys. Stacie’s values and foundations are heavily rooted in belief that family is the most inspirational and influential soil to her growth.

Her late grandfather, deeply passionate about education, launched a career in the field of dentistry after first serving in the Navy and Air Force. Her grandmother, keeping their household of 6 children afloat, served as the support system to keep up with the number of hours ‘Rock’ spent on his various projects. Rock and Marian transformed his family farm into places to work, live, and play for the area in and around the village of Lexington. That developing farmland became the village Stacie was raised in, the hometown she loves, and the one that continues to hold most of her family as well as the key to her heart.

To Stacie’s four Sonoma born children, Lexington feels as much a ‘home’ as California does. Every time they visit Ohio she feels the deep connection that this town effortlessly offers those who visit: the people, the warm embrace, the pride and the deep family ties.

Stacie’s memories of growing up in Lexington were filled with volleyball, basketball, tennis, skiing, youth group retreats, girl scouts, and representing North Central Ohio at the All-American soap box derby world championships. While her summer jobs were endless and diverse, she attributes her family’s deep work ethic somehow woven into nearly every family activity and vacation (from trade shows to late night hours) a large part of her now own life format.

Stacie attended The Ohio State University where she completed her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene at the College of Dentistry, specializing in education. It was there where she met her now husband, Jad, who was completing his residency in the field of Periodontics and Dental Implants. After graduation, Stacie had what she reflects was a dream first year of her professional career including working alongside her grandfather in his dental practice and being asked to join the faculty at The Ohio State University as a clinical instructor for dental and dental hygiene students.
In 2004, Stacie and Jad ventured west where they landed in California and fell in love with both the mountains and vineyards, establishing offices in Napa and Sonoma and, much like many of her family members, found herself working with her husband and building their dreams together, one patient at a time. Four children, two children’s hair salons, a Christian clothing company, a 40 under 40 business leaders award in the bay area, and a vineyard later, Stacie partnered with her siblings with a vision to create something meaningful in her village beginnings. The village that continued to fuel many of her fondest memories and worldwide travel and adventures, had become a place of homecoming for her own children. While Stacie yearns to travel the world, her children are constantly fighting her for more time in Lexington at every opportunity. “My children have traveled the world and yet if given a choice, this little village is unanimously where they would choose to travel every single time, proving without a doubt that home is where the heart is. Now, Lexington not only holds the key to my heart but also my favorite coffee on the planet”.

JUST A GLIMPSE INTO HER FUTURE ASPIRATIONS:

“I know I still have so much life to live, but I’m at a pivotal point in my life as a mother where I sense, more everyday, that the things I aspire to do, the places I want to go, are coincidentally, inspired from my children’s dreams. I love watching their futures unfold and their passions take shape. I have a feeling that in the blink of an eye, I will be sharing their adventures and aspirations in the way I have been so very blessed to have my own parents and grandparents share mine.
